Just drew this female front and back reference with muscle groups highlighted.
I think this is an improvement over my previous effort with the male version ([link]) whereby the muscles look kind of overwhelming but disorganized. I think I should redo that particular one in the same style. i.e. with shading and colors to indicate which muscle corresponds to which between the left and right side of the body. I like the way the pose end up. She's kind of twisted, but I did it to accentuate the hips and ass I intentionally tried to bold all the guide lines I used to construct her. Essentially I started with the simple stick figure before drawing, weighing up if her body posture looks natural and if her cg is off. I drew the two straight lines that are slanted with respect to each other at the shoulder and crotch area to guide the spine curvature that comes with a gamine figure. Satisfied that she would not fall over, I drew in additional guide lines like the collar bone, curvy lines for the breasts, the box around the hip. Using the boxes, guide lines, I drew in the figure outline and the muscle groups with reference to Chris Hart's Cutting Edge Anatomy. I concluded with some shading of corresponding muscles between the left and right side of the body to show where the same muscles would be given different limb posture. Hope you will find this reference useful. |

"Resistance is futile!" (Star Trek, The Borg) - So, why not enjoy the ride?
Best time to work em is before I get to the clothes practice
Your work rate is also a source of energy for me.
You can try buying Christopher Hart's "Drawing Cutting Edge Anatomy" too
I'm practising off this book combined with other web resources.

thanks. ^_^
most of the other female anatomy references i've been looking at, either have been too complicated, or ridiculously out of proportion to the normal female body.
do you have any other female, or male references like this one?
i still need some info for uner the thighs, and the side of the body.
seriously though, thanks a lot.
this reference has been my greatest help of all the ones i found.
Cheers!
